Today in Phishtory: 4.5.98 R.I. - The Island Tour

The Phish capped off their four show Island Tour with a final night in Rhode Island. That evening featured several heavy hitters in YEM, Bathtub Gin > Cities, SOaM, DWD, and Possum. They also played McGrupp which they did not play too often.

Seriously, I keep writing that I cannot believe that these shows were ten years ago. I have been listening to them non-stop over the last four days.

Phish really knew how to create magic out of thin air. Every night they pulled a rabbit out of a hat, except the rabbit was the size of a fuckin' whale and the experience melted our faces and fried our brains.

Man, I loved Phish circa 1998. These shows reminded me of how much I missed them.
